OGHAM LORE
I first saw ogham writing in the church at Nevern. I used to visit it as a child living in South Wales. The church yard has massive examples of celtic crosses and inside is an exceptional ogham stone. The path to the church is bordered by the famous bleeding yews, and up the road is Pentre Ifan dolmen. I used to dream of these places when I moved to Cornwall at the age of three, and it wasn't until later that I realized that my dreams were of real places, of such magical intensity that their images had been carved on my child's mind indelibly.
Below is the system of correspondences that I have used to make the ogham jewellery. I have used information from many sources and my own inspirations to develop these associations.
